Aveley SC had the pleasure of welcoming 14 school leaders and teachers from three schools across New Zealand as part of a school tour focused on quality teaching practice and Explicit Instruction.
The visitors had the opportunity to step into classrooms across the College, where our incredible staff generously opened their doors and modelled the consistent, high-quality practices that underpin teaching and learning at Aveley SC.
From purposeful lesson design and curriculum resources to explicit teaching strategies, checking for understanding, and creating high levels of student engagement, our visitors were particularly impressed by the consistency of practice across classrooms and the confidence, engagement and quality of responses demonstrated by our students.
