Aveley Secondary College is proud to launch its Visual Arts Elite Program in 2027. An exciting opportunity for students passionate about engaging with and creating art.
Our Visual Arts Elite Program is designed to develop students both as young artists and individuals. It places a strong emphasis on expanding skills, creativity, self-expression and knowledge of both traditional and contemporary Art, equipping students with life-long, 21st-century skills to take with them into their future.
Aims of the Program
The program aims to provide a supportive and specialised environment where students can develop their artistic skills, creativity and confidence as emerging artists and creative practitioners. Through guided studio practice and creative exploration, students are encouraged to experiment with ideas, refine techniques and develop their own artistic voice.
Students engage in diverse learning opportunities across a range of studio disciplines, including:
- Drawing and Painting
- Printmaking and Mixed Media
- Ceramics and Sculpture
- Photography and Graphic Art
Through these experiences, students expand their technical skills, visual literacy and understanding of artistic processes while exploring the broad possibilities of an Arts education. The program also supports pathways into a variety of creative industries and future careers.
Benefits of the Program
Students in the Specialist Visual Arts Program will benefit from an enriched learning environment that encourages creative thinking, experimentation and the development of a strong personal artistic voice. Students will build technical skills while exploring concepts such as composition, form, texture, colour theory and visual storytelling.

Applications for Year 7 2027 Specialist Visual Arts program are now open. Applications must be submitted by Friday 14 August 2026 along with an Application for Enrolment Form.
