Enrolment

Aveley Secondary College is a local intake school. Students who live in our local intake area will be automatically considered for enrolment. If there is capacity students from outside the intake area will be considered. The Department’s Enrolment Policy determines the process for all enrolments. Enrolments for the College are highly sought and out of intake placements are unlikely to be available. Applications for the Education Support Program should refer to the Education Support page.

Enrolment Acceptance forms are not available on our website and can only be obtained from the office in person or via email once an Application for Enrolment form and the associated documents required have been completed and your application has been accepted.

As part of the enrolment application process, parent and student agreement is required on a number of policies prior to commencing at the College. Education Support students work to whole school standards and expectations around attendance, dress code and other administrative requirements.

Thank you for your interest in enrolment at Aveley Secondary College. The enrolment process consists of two stages: the Expression of Interest and the Enrolment Acceptance. Please find below the links and forms to assist you with your child’s enrolment application and the Expression of Interest stage. Alternatively, enrolment packs are available at the College during office hours.

Once the completed Expression of Interest for Enrolment forms and documentation is submitted and processed our enrolments officer will contact you to book an enrolment meeting and complete the Enrolment Acceptance form. The enrolment is not finalised until the Enrolment Acceptance form is returned.

Frequently Asked Questions
I am moving into the area, can I still apply?
Families can submit an Expression of Interest for Enrolment with all available proof of residence information and expected completion date of the build (e.g. building contract, signed offer and acceptance, letter from the builder), the College will assess the documentation and either ask for more information, accept or decline the enrolment depending on the circumstances.

We do not live within the catchment area for the school can we still apply?
Currently the College has limited capacity to take enrolments that are not within our intake area. The Department of Education Enrolment Policy outlines that the school can only consider out of area applications if there is capacity, and then there is a priority procedure mandated for placements. An Expression of Interest for Enrolment can still be completed, but as the College is under accommodation pressure, it is unlikely that many spaces will be available. Expressions of interest for Out of Area enrolments close at the end of Week 1, Term 3 each year and available spaces are determined at this time.

I have completed the Expression of Interest for Enrolment, is my child enrolled?
Once the Expression of Interest for Enrolment is submitted with all required documentation it will be processed. Most enrolments then proceed to the Enrolment Acceptance Form (stage 2) and an enrolment meeting, the enrolment is not finalised until these components are completed. There are occasions that additional information will be requested or a pre-enrolment meeting is required.

Incoming Year 7 Enrolments

Welcome to Aveley Secondary College. The enrolment process consists of two stages: the Application for Enrolment and the Enrolment Acceptance. Once the enrolment has been completed, returned and accepted you will receive information about key dates and events directly, such as College Tours, Parent Information Evenings and the Term 4 Orientation Day.
