Information Resource Centre
Aveley Secondary College is dedicated to supporting the literacy of our students by providing and promoting a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment with an extensive range of print and electronic resources and technologies. The Information Resource Centre (Library) is now open for student access allowing us to stimulate interest and independence in literacy through providing opportunities for students to develop information skills and become lifelong learners.
Students are able to borrow books and resources using their Smartriders for a maximum of two weeks at a time. They may borrow two items at a time.
The Information Resource Centre is open Lunch 1 and 2 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays for students looking for a quiet place to play board games, hang out with small groups of friends, exchange books and read quietly, or do homework.
Students can access the Functional Solutions shortcut on their iPads to quickly access the content or login to https://aveleysc.functionalsolutions.com.au
Functional Solutions allows students to see what books are available, reserve a book, check their loans and even leave a review for the book they just read! When reserving books Functional Solutions allows students see if a book is available, in stock or if all copies are already out on loan.
